Happy May, Menstruators!
This month as we celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day, which aims to break the stigmas and shed the shame around periods, I thought it was important that we tackle another important topic as well; food-shaming. As a woman, I have gone through so many phases of feeling guilt and that I “don’t deserve” to indulge in my favorite treats. Well, in the last couple of years I have decided that there’s no such thing as “bad” foods, and that everything is perfect in moderation. It is SO freeing (although I still catch myself feeling bad about a food choice from time to time.) If you have been following my recipes, you know I love mac & cheese as much as I love a big, epic salad!
I invited my best friend Shannon from Poppy Photography over to my house for a celebration of indulgent things. I am so thrilled to share this fun day with you, and I hope you are inspired to go buy some of your favorite things.
